LOWER POTTSGROVE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION HOSTS POTTSGROVES YOUTH BASKETBALL AND FIELD HOCKEY LEAGUE
LPAA is open to boys and girls (separate divisions) grades 3-6. The cost to play is $110.00 There are two divisions by grades. The 3rd/4th players are together and the 5th/6th graders are together. During the season, each team will play 8 games with a weekly practice. All games are located at the Pottsgrove Middle School and are held on Saturday mornings. (Game schedule released in December). Practices are held during the week at either the Middle School, Lower Pottsgrove or Ringing Rocks (Day and Time based on coaches availability). The winter basketball season runs November through March. Practices begin in November and games begin the first Saturday in January.
Each player will be placed on a team based on their draft performance. If they cannot make the draft, they will still be placed on a team. The Draft Day is where each player will showcase their skills individually so the volunteer coaches can draft them to a team. If you cannot make the draft day, your player will still be selected to a team.
2023-24 Season Draft Day Schedule
Tuesday, October 17th - 5th/6th Boys 6:00pm-7:30pm
Wednesday, October 18th - 3rd/4th Boys AND All Girls 6:00pm-7:30pm
Practices Begin: Week of November 6th
*There are no practices during school breaks, including Thanksgiving & Winter break*
All games are coached by our wonderful volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering to coach a team, please send an email! All volunteers will need to submit a background check and child abuse clearance in order to coach.
All games are officiated by PIAA officials.
In consideration of the risk of injury while participating in the Lower Pottsgrove Athletic Association practices and games and as consideration for the right to participate in the Activities, you hereby, knowingly and voluntarily enter into this waiver and release of liability and hereby waive any and all rights, claims or causes of action of any kind whatsoever arising out of my players participation in the Activity, and do hereby release and forever discharge their affiliates, managers, members, agents, attorneys, staff, volunteers and representatives for any physical or psychological injury, including but not limited to illness, paralysis, death, damages, economical or emotional loss, that you/they may suffer as a direct result of your participation in the aforementioned activity, including travel to and from and vent related to this activity.
BY REGISTERING YOU ARE VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THE AFORMENTIONED ACTIVITY AND YOU/THEY ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITY ENTIRELY AT YOUR/THEY'RE OWN RISK.
